Lego Dimensions is an exciting Lego action adventure video game and is a similar style to Disney infinity and Skylanders. The starter pack has in it The LEGO toy pad, Bricks to build the gateway, Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle and also the Batmobile. The game itself has characters from various Lego sets.
The game focuses on an Evil villain who is determined to be ruler, called Lord Vortech. A series of vortex open up around the lego world. Some lego people join up to support Lord Vortech while others join forces to fight against him. The only way to stop Lord Vortech is to use the combined power of the greatest Lego heroes.

Characters from Lord of the Rings, DC Comics, and the Lego movie get swept into the vortex and need help from their friends to save them.
You will need to start by using the loose bricks in you Lego Dimensions starter pack to build the gateway. Once you build your gateway you can place it on the toy pad to start your game.
You are able to play alone or with friends using co-operative drop in drop out play. You can play with a combination of up to seven minifigures, accessories or vehicles by dropping them on on to the toy pad.
You will be able to purchase additional expansion packs, some of the expansion packs will include the Back to the Future level pack, the DC comics fun pack, the Lego Movie fun pack, and the Lego Ninjago team pack.
Unlike the starter pack the expansion packs are not specific to the consoles.
