The great thing about Mario Kart 8 is that you can play online with up to 12 players, the ways of finding people to compete with are: Global, Regional, friends and Rivals, and tournament. You can have public and private tournaments.
Mario kart 8 introduces 2 new playable female characters Pink Gold Peach and baby rosalina. Including using your mii and all the unlockable characters there are 30 playable characters in all.
In the Deluxe version for the Nintendo switch the game features all the tracks and characters from Mario Kart 8. It has all 36 characters from the Wii U version but includes new characters too these are Inkling Girl and Inkling boy from the game splatoon, King Boo, Dry Bones and Bowser Jr.
The main difference is you can play on the go using handheld mode. There are some new tracks for the Nintendo Switch and some new vehicles. Unlike previous Mario Kart games your player can carry two items at the same time.
A nice new edition to the game is Smart steering, this help you to stay on the track which is great for newer players and children. You can now play with up to 8 players in multiplayer mode.
